Jackie Batttenfield was born in 1950 and lives and works in New York, NY. She received her MFA from Syracuse University and BS from Pennsylvania State University. She is an artist known for her luminously colored paintings and prints of natural forces. Her works explore her fascination with the most abstract and meditative qualities of nature. Battenfield is represented in over 1,000 collections worldwide and she is the recipient of The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and the Warren Tanner Award. Exhibitions include Ripley Gallery, Washington, DC; Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art, University of Richmond, VA; and the Gwenda Jay Addington Gallery, Chicago, IL.
