William Powhida was born in 1976 in New York and received his MFA from Hunter College and BFA from Syracuse University. This print was created in response to a heated panel discussion about art blogging in January 2010 that included the artist; Paddy Johnson, author of the highly respected blog Art Fag City; and gallerist Edward Winkleman. In the text, Powhida shares his thoughts about blogging, continuing his ongoing satirical investigation of power and personality in the art world. Powhida was the recipient of the Printshop's 2010 Publishing Residency. Exhibitions include Platform Gallery, Seattle, WA; Winkleman Gallery, New York, NY; Postmasters, New York, NY; Schroeder Romero & Shredder, New York, NY; and Schirn Kunstalle Frankfurt, Frankfurt, Germany. Powhida is represented by the Postmasters Gallery, New York, NY; Charlie James Gallery, Los Angeles, CA and Platform Gallery, Seattle, WA.
