| |
Cammi Climaco Cammi Climaco was born in Cleveland, OH and received her MFA at Cranbrook Academy of Art and BFA from Kent State University. Working primarily in sculpture and installation, Climaco's work draws on a range of pop and cultural references to elucidate the hidden emotional realms of sexuality, love, and romance. In this work, Climaco simultaneously and skillfully balances several dichotomies: frivolity and seriousness, lightness and darkness, humor and morbidity, camp and elegance. Climaco was the recipient of the Printshop's 2009 Special Editions Residency. She has exhibited internationally, including Lump, Raleigh, NC; Frontroom, Brooklyn, NY; La Mama Gallery, New York, NY; and Gravura Brasileira, São Paulo, Brazil. |
