Seams (Green Dress with Pleats) is one of Shin's pieces that involve the deconstruction of clothing, stripping clothes to the seams creating skeletal structures. This rare piece was donated on the occasion of the Printshop's 40th anniversary.

Represented by Frederieke Taylor Gallery, New York, her recent solo exhibition showed works made in collaboration with The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia, during her artist residency. Shin is currently working on a major MTA public project in Queens, NY. Jean Shin’s works have been shown in various institutions in New York City and internationally, including The Museum of Modern Art, New Museum of Contemporary Art, Brooklyn Museum, Asia Society, Sculpture Center, Socrates Sculpture Park, Artists Space, Art in General, Smack Mellon Gallery, Ssamzie Space (Seoul), Galerie Eric Dupont (Paris), and ARCO (Madrid). She is a recent recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, NYFA fellowship, and Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award.
