A 1991 winner of a painting grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, Battenfield’s artwork is included in corporate and private collection in numerous countries including the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, and Switzerland; as well as several museums such as the Montclair Art Museum and the New York Public Library. Battenfield served as President of the Printshop’s Board of Directors from 2000 - 2006.

Battenfield is currently writing a comprehensive career handbook for artists, titled The Artist's Guide: How to Make a Living Doing What You Love, due to be published in Fall 2008. She teaches professional development classes at Columbia University, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, and the Creative Capital Foundation.
